Vacation

I have two weeks vacation coming up. I am going to be staying here in C.R.

Don't want to do the Los Suenos or Tabcon Resort type of things.

Anyone have any suggestions for something interesting?

Take a boat tour up the Sarapiqui River, if you have time continue on up the Rio San Juan.

Move into the Del Rey for a couple of weeks

Drakes Bay...down south, near the border with Panama..great hotels-restaurants-beaches and lot of things to do, Fishing, diving, surfing, canopy, kayaking etc...

Try Granada, Nicaragua. A new hotel on the main square has just opened "La Gran Francia". The property is owned by an old line Nicaraguan family and has a good french restaurant. Two other hotels are worth a mention, La Casona de Estrada" featured in Conde Nast Traveler magazine last year or the newly remodeled Alhambra Hotel.
Good architecture, interesting museum and only one hour by good road to the beach at San Juan Del Sur.

What do you want to do? You know there are tons of things here to do, just depends on you. I can suggest things if I have an idea of what you want.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys.

I am open to anything..I do like the canopy tours,trekking through the rain forests and stuff.

I've been to Arenal, Monteverde, Manuel Antonio, Poas and all the sort big attractions.

So I guess I am looking for something a little off the beaten track.I just don't want to lie on a beach.
